NIKA is hiring for an exciting opportunity as a Chief Facility Engineer to be responsible for the overall management and operation of the mechanical, life safety, electrical and plumbing operations of associated facilities and grounds at Fort Meade, MD!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the overall management and operation of the mechanical, life safety, electrical and plumbing operations of associated facilities and grounds.
  • Knowledge, operation and repair experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, chillers, boilers, pumps, air handlers, equipment predictive/preventative maintenance and emergency power systems
  • Monitoring and implementing energy conservation measures
  • Experience with building management systems, including a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS) and fire protection systems
  • Adhering to Department of Defense, Maryland, Anne Arundel regulations, codes, standard, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer licensed and registered in the State of Maryland, Virginia, and District of Washington
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience as a CFE in government facilities of similar size and complexity of a 1,000,000 square foot complex
  • Must have or be able to attain a Security Clearance
