NIKA is hiring for an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager working out of our Rockville, MD HQ office!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform site visits and detailed information gathering on existing equipment, systems, building automation systems, utility meters, sub-metering, software, hardware, and certifications.
  • Assist in continuous Measurement and Verification tasks.
  • Reports on a weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual and ad-hoc frequencies.
  • Perform energy efficiency/ renewable energy audit including walkthrough survey of designated facility or campus.
  • Participate in all design review meetings and track and monitor progress of all energy projects.
  • Perform project management functions.
  • Perform benchmarking analysis of energy consumption for the baseline year.
  • Assist in energy and water masterplan
  • Providing an Energy Master Plan report of the findings for each DHA facility
  • Incorporate financial and technical results of energy usage audits and Renewable Energy feasibility study at each Medical treatment Facility
  • Track energy savings and financial analysis associated with energy conservation measures

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, energy analysis, renovation projects, controls and commissioning related activities
  • Experience or knowledge of facility mechanical systems
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Travel will be required for field data collection
  • Strong energy background
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Able to read and manipulate energy related data in existing databases
  • Familiarity with Energy Star
  • Field visits and coordination with facility manager
  • Familiarity with Energy applications
  • Will report to the program manager on a daily basis.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Must be eligible for DoD NACI background investigation.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD CAC.
  • Active Public Trust or existing clearance highly desired.
