NIKA is hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for the execution and management of facility renovation, repair, and minor construction projects at the Naval Medical Center San Diego!

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficient and technically qualified in the field of Healthcare Facilities Maintenance and Construction Management
  • Primarily responsible for service order execution and management for the overall facility management support tasks and functions at NMCSD
  • Supervising the day to day execution of renovation and repair projects at the medical facility
  • Supervise the maintenance workers and subcontractors assigned to service order projects.
  • Provides technical knowledge and expertise to assist with project and construction management and shall perform reviews of completed projects to ensure compliance with project scope and funding requirements.
  • Responsible for supporting the quality control and safety aspects of all assigned service order projects.
  • Evaluates any equipment data provided by the various renovation and construction contractors to ensure data complies NMCSD requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in bedded medical facility operations and maintenance within the last 5 years
  • Must have supervisory experience of a diversified workforce
  • 3 years of experience servicing and/or renovating commercial building required
  • Working knowledge of NFPA, EPA, and OSHA codes and standards and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
