NIKA is hiring for a Health Facility Planner/Criteria Support Specialist to plan, oversee, and supervise a wide range of Health Care projects from start to finish and the overall program at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in Falls Church, VA!

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Interior Design, Architecture or related field preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in health facilities planning and MHS space planning criteria. Knowledge of the facilities life cycle
  • Management concepts and aspects of the building industry related to healthcare facilities.
  • Aid in recommending new DHA policies, guidance and instructions for review of DHA policies and
  • instructions.
  • Provide and lead base new policies, guidance and instructions for each service within current DOD guidelines. When service and DOD guidelines conflict, the contractor shall develop optional approaches for the government to choose.
  • Interview and understand interview each service subject matter expert to understand policy uniqueness, guidance and instructions for Services standardization.
  • Assist in planning and developing methods, procedures and policy for implementing program objectives for the medical facility program(s); assist in interpreting program goals to federal and industry partners; provide assistance and support in the
  • establishment of the program, resourcing and technical framework; and assist in developing formal processes for
  • integrating and channeling initiatives and procedures into a standardized DHA execution framework.
  • Provide onsite support for the DHA criteria management team Monday through Friday.
  • Provide code and criteria review as an active advisor to the team in ongoing criteria management and updates.
  • Provide project management support onsite for the DHA criteria team which includes, but is not limited to, coordinating criteria team meetings, efforts and facilitating solutions to meet DHA-FD objectives.
  • Information Management Systems (IMS) and coordination between Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Dependent Care Account (DCA)
  • Maintenance of the Project Submittal Library
  • Ability to post project submittals to the World Class Facility Toolkit (WCTK) and distribute to PDT’s.
  • Support Facility Maintenance Team (FMT) compliance and integration duties
  • Support Quality Program Manager as needed for Quality Review Board (QRB) peer reviews.
  • Provides a written weekly and or monthly report to government officials in order to apprise them of project status, as necessary

Job Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of Health Facility planning within healthcare facilities and/or federal facilities
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a government security clearance
  • Be able to work a 40-hour work week, 8 hours a day Monday-Friday
  • Be able to travel if the project requires it
  • Experience using broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex issues
  • Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to communicate with various levels within the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite products required
  • Ability to learn and use company software tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing requirements
