NIKA is hiring for an Initial Outfitting Directorate (IOD) Support to provide support services to the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado!!

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Construction Management or related field preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent AFMSA as liaison to MTF, IO contractor(s) and other applicable agencies.
  • Assist the Government in the planning, execution and evaluation of project tasks, contractors, sub-contractors and Furniture, Furnishing and Equipment (FFE) and Low Voltage System (LVS) vendors. Provide support of project tasks to ensure all deliverables are completed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Assist and monitor execution of FFE-LVS Initial Outfitting Transition Planning (IO-T) and Initial Outfitting Commodities (IO-C). Coordinate and monitor the design, planning, procurement and execution of the comprehensive interior design (CID). Per the SOW, this includes, but is not limited to, all new and reuse furniture, furnishings, equipment, signage, artwork, resource protection, low voltage systems, closed circuit television, communications, moves, and transition planning, excess, public relations, and access control.
  • Assist the Project Delivery Team (PDT) to establish technical approach, develop conceptual design, conduct field investigation analysis, detail functional requirements, and specify procedures to support execution of assigned tasks.
  • Provide support assistance to the PDT and MTF during installation of all IO commodities and during IO Transition planning and movements.
  • Assist the PDT in coordinating the transition of personnel and organizations to/from newly constructed, renovated facilities and/or temporary phasing facilities (TPF). Assist with ensuring all necessary coordination and management required in transitioning are completed in a timely manner.
  • Act as primary point of contact (POC) for the Initial Outfitting program.
  • Participate in all user meetings to include, but not limited to, kick-off, review, resolution, transition, communication, equipment, security, and weekly PDT meetings. Provide any briefings necessary in relation to the project.
  • Assist MTF and contractor with all necessary public relations planning and activities to ensure beneficiaries are well informed.
  • Work with appropriate offices to assist in the development of criteria and objectives for SOW for Comprehensive Interior Design (CID) and recommend schedules/timelines for approval and execution.
  • Conduct technical review of submittal and review submittal with end user prior to finalizing.
  • Monitor IO project costs to include Other Procurement (OP), IO-T, IO-C, and transition to ensure conformance with SOW.
  • Conduct acceptance inspections and ensure all closeout documentation is complete, organized and provided to AFMSA leadership for historical filing requirements.
  • Review and critique SRM and IO project submittals for the government, provide technical evaluations of contractor submittals, and submit findings to the USACE comments in the government database (currently ProjNet).

Job Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of IO&T experience within healthcare facilities and/or federal facilities experience required.
  • Ability to travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations, up to 20 trips a year
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop; knowledge of building codes, accessibility codes, and furnishing codes
  • Excellent in English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing requirements
