The Jr. IT Business Analyst will work on a variety of data-driven projects where you will conduct business process analysis gathering both technical and non-technical requirements and creating specification, design and other system development life-cycle documentation.

  • Document and maintain business and functional requirements, including business requirements, functional requirements, process flow documentation and gap analyses.
  • Perform QA testing on all deliverables, providing feedback and sign-off on all requirements.
  • Identify and analyze problems, opportunities, and solutions for business users and stakeholders looking to streamline processes by
  • Elicit requirements from end users, identify business problems, and gauge desired results.
  • Anticipate, quantify and resolve problems and issues with requirements.
  • Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and requirements, meeting minutes, correspondence.
  • Address issues and questions related to intended functionality of the system, as well as support the business in implementing the required changes to make effective use of the new system.
  • Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the technology teams (namely Data Warehouse & Report Developers).
  • Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for customers and programmers to follow.
  • Specify inputs and format outputs to meet users’ needs.
  • Maintain user confidence and protect the business by keeping information confidential.



  • Minimum of five (3) years of experience as a business analyst
  • Strong writing ability (sample documentation may be requested)
  • Ability to think critically and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate high-level information into details, transform low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying business needs
  • Able to identify “as-is” state vs. “to-be” state using a variety of applicable tools and techniques depending on the project and its complexity (including but not limited to: use-case diagramming, ERD diagrams, data flows and business process work flows)
  • Experience in Agile Development methodologies
  • Management and maintenance of requirements traceability
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once to meet demanding deadlines
  • Team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Word) and Visio


  • Experience developing and customizing requirements, processes, and design documentation
  • Experience working with and presenting to executive level clients
  • Experience performing requirements, design, and testing activities
  • Change management experience to include internal/external system training, external communication development on behalf of the client, demo facilitation



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or management information systems
  • Must be eligible for DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance Highly Desired
  • Experience in the architecture and engineering industry desirable
