NIKA is hiring for a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support to a base operations support services contract at Tyndall AFB, FL!

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience in controls & trouble shooting
  • Coordinate and assist with facility repairs projects involving basic mechanical systems within the facilities
  • Support the Facilities Management Department to oversee active construction repair projects
  • Conducts on-site field inspections to verify quality installations of new work or repairs according to project requirements
  • Conducts on-site inspections to validate turnover of new building assets and required updates building inventory data
  • Review building asset reports and management databases to ensure information is accurate and up to date
  • Experience in site assessments & reports
  • Performing calculations
  • Interfacing with facility managers, clients etc. and attending meetings as required
  • Site visits to verify that the work complies with what the contract states, codes, standards, etc. 
  • Ability to multi-task including coordinating with other trades and working on a portfolio of multiple projects.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Working experience in a government/military facility highly desired
  • Experience with HVAC and supporting systems
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Experience with FARS, DFARS, and other federal regulatory guidance, laws, and requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
