NIKA is hiring for an O&M Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the performance of all operations, maintenance, repair, and facility management support tasks and functions at the Naval Medical Center San Diego!

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Management members with corrective maintenance, service order maintenance, equipment and system upgrades, renovations, and new construction.
  • Responsible for following consistent and repeatable project management process and procedures. Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within scope of contract.
  • Maintains an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results. Coordinates communication with the customer during all phases of the project. Provides work direction to on-site O&M Managers, subcontractors, technicians, designers, and estimators as necessary.
  • Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics.
  • Ensures NIKA staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards including JCFS Safety programs and US Army Corps of Engineers Safety & Health Requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in hospital operations and maintenance, two (2) years of experience in supervision, and a minimum experience of two (2) trades.
  • Working experience with NFPA, EPA, TJC, OSHA codes and standards
  • The supervisor shall be able to perform maintenance operations necessary to execute all scheduled maintenance described in this PWS and unscheduled maintenance events IAW established regulatory requirements.
