Department: Facilities Operations Management

NIKA is hiring for a Project Manager to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in managing facility projects based out of San Antonio, TX!

Position Description
- Provides “cradle to grave” management of infrastructure repair and modernization projects, including the crafting of measurable performance work statements (PWS), development of accurate current working estimates, collaboration and participation as a technical advisor in source selection boards, chairing project execution and kick- off meetings, serving as the Technical Representative, performing Quality Assurance and Safety compliance visits, performing design and submittal reviews, inspecting for compliance and design compliance in the installation of infrastructure systems.
- Supervises and performs functional testing, system commissioning and inspection of installed systems prior to government acceptance. The aforementioned testing of systems delivered will be through the point-by-point verification of design, installation, functionality and performance of existing and newly installed infrastructure equipment and systems of all disciplines.
Required Skills
- Multifaceted skills and practical experience necessary to accurately analyze plans, data, designs, operations and maintenance practices and the management thereof.
- Must possess those skills necessary to facilitate the development of estimates and makes recommendations for repairs, sustainment and optimizations of building physical plant and infrastructure systems.
- Integrates information from a variety of sources into various systems; ensures proper system
interfaces. - Must high strong interpersonal, communicative, diplomatic and analytical skills to provide
highly professional quality presentations to executive leadership and large audiences.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree of Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture is preferred, and practical applied knowledge of medical healthcare facility design, construction and management is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of documented and qualifying practical experience in Project Management is required.
- Possessing the aforementioned experience, expertise in a working medical healthcare facility and credentials such as Certified Healthcare Facility Management is preferred.
- Practical experience is defined as having the sole direct responsibility of, and being directly instrumental in efficient and effective Project Management operations in support of medical healthcare campuses. This practical experience must be recent and within the past six (6) months and span continuously over the preceding four (4) years.
