NIKA is hiring for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the performance of all operations, maintenance, repair, and facility management support tasks and functions at the Naval Medical Center San Diego!

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of the contractor’s quality control and safety program.
  • The PM shall be technically qualified in the field of Healthcare Facilities Maintenance and Construction Management and shall have five (5) years of experience in medical/health care (bedded-inpatient) facility operations and maintenance, including the supervision of a diversified work force responsible for 24-hour (24/7/365) operations, maintenance and repair of medical facility systems.
  • The contractor shall provide OMEE Unscheduled Work/Corrective Maintenance Progress/Status Reports IAW DID OMEE0006 of the basic contract.
  • As a minimum, the APM shall develop monthly reporting documentation and metrics for the COR that show progress/status of the unscheduled work/corrective maintenance projects as well as Quality Control (QC) regarding in-progress or completed work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • The PM should have at least 5 years of experience with The Joint Commission compliance (maintenance and documentation [including all DMLSS work requests and all supporting testing/certification/verification (in-house or subcontracted) documentation] requirements for Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety (LS) compliance) as required for healthcare facilities.
  • An American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification is desirable.
  • Working experience with NFPA, EPA, TJC, OSHA codes and standards.
