Project Support Specialist


Department: Facilities Operations Management
Location: San Antonio , TX, US


NIKA is hiring for a Project Support Specialist to manage and support the Max.gov site as directed by Defense Health Agency (DHA) based out of San Antonio, TX! 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides FOB as needed for  meetings, reports, and other government deliverables.
  • Supports and implements Training and Education requirements in DHA.
  • Consolidate Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs)
  • Provide basic MAX.gov support when required (how to use MAX.gov, where specific pages are located, how to sign and upload documents, how to use the TRF and Trip Report workflows, etc.)
  • Provide support in development of DHA FM Basic Course
  • Recording and editing DHA FM Virtual Training Videos (in place of cancelled DHA FM Training Summit May 2020)
  • Provide additional admin support as needed (creating/editing forms and spreadsheets, updating weekly FOB Update slides, etc.)
  • Processing CACs for multiple contracts
  • Building new websites as directed by DHA
  • Manage and distribute ORG Chart and Contact List
  • Process Travel Request Forms (TRFs)
  • Process Trip Reports
  • Process Expense Reports
  • Process DHA Add User Forms
  • Onboard new employees (contract required training, NDAs, CAC initiation, SharePoint access, etc.)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5+ years’ previous experience in program management, project management, administration, or related field
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project)
  • Knowledgeable in program management methodology and techniques; performance 
    evaluation and change management principles
  • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Understanding of project management
