NIKA is assisting our partner’s, King George, in hiring for a Proposal Manager to join their Business Development team!! This position will coordinate, manage, and facilitate all phases of the company’s proposal process in response to RFI, RFQ, PPQ, ITT, RFP, etc. This position can be based out of their HQ office in Fort Worth, TX or remote from home!

Job Responsibilities:

• The Proposal Manager will manage internal and external proposal resources.
• Will identify and assign resources to the varying aspects of the response process and manage these resources to ensure the timely and accurate submission of responses.
• Exercise full responsibility and authority for complex government proposals and bid preparations.
• Analyze the solicitations, identify all requirements and criteria for evaluation, prepare a detailed proposal outline, and lead the proposal response effort.
• Coordinate proposal efforts across corporate divisions, contracts department, contractors, subcontractors, and corporate management leadership, as required.
• Manage proposal response process, facilitate meetings with team members, coordinate efforts and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with the contracts department to ensure proposals comply with relevant Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidance.
• Development of win themes, discriminators, and benefits in proposal solution.
• Source and work with subject matter experts along with other stakeholders to develop compelling, persuasive proposal solutions.
• Work with the proposal team and capture team members to determine author assignments and integrate win strategy, themes, and discriminators into the proposal.
• Assist the VP of Business Development in the development and delivery of training materials for Business Development and other staff to continuously improve our corporate proposal operations.
• Work with IT to establish and maintain the file share or collaboration site for each proposal.
• Lead and analyze RFI, RFQ, PPQ, ITT, RFP, etc., and other bid documents for requirements.
• Take ownership of the quality of the proposal for color reviews and final delivery by performing rigorous quality assurance checks on the draft and the final product.
• Prepare and lead efficient proposal kickoff meetings and daily status calls, ensuring activities adhere to the proposal development plan.
• Manage the development of oral presentations, discussions, and proposal revisions.
• Conduct and document proposal lessons learned and implement actions to improve process efficiency.
• Coordinate and support the production, reproduction, binding, and packaging in finalizing the proposal submission and response processes.
• Perform technical writing and graphics to answer RFI, RFQ, PPQ, ITT, RFP, etc. requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications field preferred
• At least five years of related proposals experience required
• Proven experience in winning new work in excess of $25 million
• Certification in the Proposals and Bidding preferred
• Proficient in written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements
• Ability to use standard English writing styles to write proposal sections; this includes information research and synthesis from multiple sources (subject matter experts, previous proposals) into a cohesive, easy-to-read, and persuasive final product
• Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry
• Proficient Microsoft Office productivity suite, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft SharePoint
• Ability to professionally format documents in accordance with corporate branding identity
• Ability to manage graphics and develop organizational flow diagrams and processes
• Ability to coordinate with multiple key stakeholders and team members in person and in remote
