NIKA is hiring for a Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to provide support services for a Base Operation Support Services contract at Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois!

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is responsible for monitoring contract work to assure compliance with Government requirements and standards. 
  • Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
  • Responsible for documenting and reporting inspection findings/results and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
  • Communicate with management on suggestions for improvements.
  • Ensuring contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of NIKA.
  • The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) shall be available on-site during normal duty hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control of construction and/or maintenance of building equipment
  • Experience with government and/or military facilities preferred
  • Individual should be familiar with government organization and functions; understand current procurement best practices; able to organize and express ideas through excellent oral and written communications to a wide variety of audiences; and demonstrate an unquestionable sense of integrity, honesty, and loyalty.
  • Background and knowledge of the practices, procedures and processes of contracts administration; knowledge of relevant laws, FAR, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing contracts.
