NIKA is hiring for a Senior Contracts Manager who will be responsible for administration of a major IDIQ contract based out of our HQ office in Rockville, MD! This role will serve as the primary point of contact for contracts management, contracts compliance, and general contracts support. This person will be responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating and revising (as authorized) contracts with subcontractors and will track and report on small business utilization.

Job Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • 10 years of experience in managing government procurements
  • 5 years of experience in management relevant Federal, Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Army procurements
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating agreements in a Federal Government contracting environment
  • Strong background in contracting concepts, contract acquisition law and regulations (FAR, DFARS, GSA, etc.) Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
  • Experience negotiating various elements of Non-Disclosure, Teaming and Subcontract Agreements
  • Ability to clearly articulate contracting requirements, issues, and concerns, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills
  • Success working in a cross matrixed environment serving many stakeholders in multiple locations and time zones
  • Flexible, goal oriented with teamwork skills and motivation to become knowledgeable in the customer programs being supported
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills

Education, Training and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Relevant Contracts Certifications desired
