NIKA is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative project manager to oversee high profile projects related to healthcare and institutional facility design. This is a critical position with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. You will be able to hit the ground running, using your extensive experience to manage projects in progress and help NIKA develop new business.

You will lead a diverse team of architecture and engineering experts, motivating your staff to produce and achieve excellence. You should be somebody who understands the value of collaboration and mentorship and is eager to help your team grow and meet their potential.

As a member of our team you will:

  • Manage and oversee multiple concurrent projects, including project scope identification, scheduling, budgeting, project deliverables, client management, and closeout
  • Work with clients to identify objectives, scope of work and formulate options
  • Conceptualize a complete project and establish key work priorities for the development of design, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Serve as the primary client contact, responsible for overall client satisfaction, profitability, and success of project programs
  • Coordinate with multiple trade disciplines
  • Develop and maintain project-specific schedules and program-specific master schedules
  • Track, manage and report on key performance indicators
  • Establish and ensure quality assurance standards for construction documents
  • Work directly with the design team to meet scheduled deliverables and ensure proper resource assignment
  • Establish and track project budgets and maintain ongoing profitability, including monthly project reviews with our Business Manager of Professional Services
  • Coordinate and work collaboratively with our the leadership team and administrative services to ensure accurate and timely client billings
  • Monitor your team’s payroll, including overtime approval of resources assigned to projects under your supervision.

Requirements:

  • 12-15 years of experience in Architecture or Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience
  • Registered Architect or Engineer is preferred
  • Government and healthcare project experience preferred
  • Excellent understanding of and ability to manage financial, schedule, and scope issues
  • Strong project management skills, production knowledge, technical knowledge and a sense of ownership and responsibility for all of the products that are produced by the department
  • Working knowledge of latest software used in the architecture/engineering industry, such as Revit, CAD, Specs
  • Professional, ethical, and committed to excellence
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Strong drive and high energy that is action- and results-oriented
  • Strong ability to resolve issues utilizing sound judgment and reasoning skills
  • Highly motivated to meet project deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Experience with non-traditional contract vehicles such as design/build
  • Ability to acquire clearance and demonstrate US government access suitability
