NIKA is hiring for a SRM Portfolio Manager to be a part of the Air Force Medical Support Agency! This is an exciting opportunity that will initially be located at Hickam AFB, Hawaii!

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Engineering or other field related to facility management, planning or construction

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to Government personnel in order to ensure other contractor personnel provide medical facility design, construction, repair, and/or maintenance support that meets mission requirements utilizing US codes and standards.
  • Provides US military medical facility design code, criteria, and functional utilization guidance to various organizations (USACE, NAVFAC, etc.).
  • Identifies project requirements based on site visits and personal knowledge of military treatment facilities (MTFs).  Validates and identifies project requirements from MTFs.  Reviews military medical facility projects scopes of work; evaluates need for project; reviews/updates project justification.  Reviews and evaluates urgent facility maintenance requirements. Reviews/edits classification of requirement as Sustainment, Engineering, or Modernization (SRM).
  • Prepares list of projects for all assigned facilities based on Medical Facility Improvement Plan (MFIP).  Prioritizes requirements within each classification – SRM.  Provides continuous recommendations based on MTF needs.
  • Ensures facility projects are entered in accordance with prescribed procedures into the Project Module of the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support – Facility Management (DMLSS- FM) system.
  • Provides DMLSS-FM guidance to MTF staff based on a working knowledge of how DMLSS-FM system supports facility management operations and building systems.
  • Review and provide recommendations to improve programs which support The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation requirements, specific to US, DoD health facilities.

Job Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing medical Operations and Maintenance funded projects and military medical MILCON construction projects.
  • Must be able to train in San Antonio, TX for up to 6 months 
  • Working knowledge of a project/requirements management system, knowledge of facility inspections, and corrective actions, US code and standards.
  • Ability to apply Joint Commission, Facilities, Engineering, US DoD military medical design and/or construction codes and standards.
  • Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources into various systems.
  • Ability to ensure proper system interfaces.
  • Ability to collect data for analysis.
  • Ability to develop products resulting from analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A cleared background investigation is performed leading to an eligibility for a security clearance with the US government is a condition of employment.
