Department: Facilities Operations Management
Location: Research Triangle Park , NC, US


NIKA is hiring for a Technical Drawing Administrator to support a facilities operations and maintenance support services contract at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide drafting services as follows, using soft AUTOCAD, ARCHIBUS, and Key Wizard EPA licensed software:
    • Update all laboratory casework and partition drawings whenever changes are made
    • Update the fume hood and duct work drawings as changes are made
    • Provide drawings for all EPA area facilities as required
    • Update Government owned CAD drawings and (Fire Alarm Graphics, drawings, and programming) of c client facilities to reflect any modifications. Maintain drawings available to client employees on government server.
    • Provide drawings and specifications for small projects that may be performed by other prime contractors.
    • Provide and maintain drawings reflecting furniture, equipment, and telecommunications cabling locations/layouts.
    • As required, create by using all workstation software stock diagrams, block plans, and schematic space layouts.
    • Scan facility related drawings into workstation data base as required.
    • Maintain the workstation data base in such a manner that facility data can be shared and retrieved by engineers via designated workstations or via the client shared file network.
  • Ensure contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of NIKA.

Required Skills

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of AUTOCADD drawing experience, to include initiating new drawings, updating, and incorporating changes based on As-Builts
  • Must have experience in managing large libraries of CADD drawings, signing them out to engineers and contractors; and assuring they are returned and updated as required
  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Have a background in governmental maintenance services is preferred
  • Individual should be familiar with government organization and functions; understand current procurement best practices; able to organize and express ideas through excellent oral and written communications to a wide variety of audiences; and demonstrate an unquestionable sense of integrity, honesty, and loyalty
  • The ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues

Qualifications

  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience using broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex issues
  • Excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to communicate with various levels within the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, other MS Office suite products, and CMMS preferred
  • Ability to learn and use company software tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing requirements

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

  • Must maintain all required city/county/state license(s) and/or certification(s), where applicable
  • Required to maintain a valid state driver’s license
