NIKA Awarded Planning and Policy Contract to Support the Defense Health Agency Facilities Enterprise

NIKA is pleased to announce the award of a new facilities support contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville Center to provide the Defense Health Agency Facilities Enterprise (DHA-FE) program, and policy and instructions assistance support for the Military Health System (MHS).

Under this contract, NIKA will assist DHA-FE leadership in developing policies and guidelines and standardizing processes and procedures for various branches within the DHA-FE. They will cover various areas including the DHA Facilities Portfolio Management, Facilities Enterprise Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization Program, the Builder Sustainment Management System (SMS), Real Property Management, and the DHA Sustainability Program. The contract also provides:

  • Financial Management and Fiscal Guidance for SRM Funding Activities
  • Technical Writing Support
  • Publication Coordination and Tracking
  • Developing Processes for Government Review and Approval
  • Memorializing Government Approved Processes
  • Business Process Re-engineering, Continuous Process Improvement, and Process Mapping

Our team will also work with DHA leadership to recommend new and updated/revised DHA policies, procedures, guidance, and instructions and ensure that they meet current DOD guidelines and reflect best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of consolidated DHA-FE functions.

The Military Health System is one of the largest health systems in the United States, delivering health services to 9.4 million eligible patients in nearly 700 military hospitals and clinics around the world.

The contract will be performed at DHA’s Falls Church, VA location and has a duration of one year with two option years.
